Guide to Tampa & #CFB Championship 2016
The city of Tampa is serving as this year’s host of the coveted #CFB College Football Championship game for the 2016 season. Four teams are vying for the prize, where two will meet on Monday, January 9.
As a native Floridian and overall fan of the area, we thought we provide some things to do, eat and see whilst in preparation of big game. Who knows, could be celebratory spots following, should your team be so lucky...
One spot that checks off our see, drink, shop and eat boxes is Oxford Exchange. This Tampa downtown outpost offers everything from delicious breakfast and brunch to curated shopping to one of the best coffee shops around. It feels almost like a private club, but is open to the public. Should be a must-do.
A newer dinner spot is on the Tampa scene is O Cocina & Flights. This upscale Mexican spot offers delicious small plates and handcrafted cocktails that delight. You can oftentimes see Bucs players and other local celebrities dining upon their favorite taco plates & more. Perfect for a date night or for a large group.
Another see, eat & do is Hyde Park Village. This South Tampa hideaway offers great places to eat and shop. With both large and local artisans, you're bound to spend an afternoon enjoying what the village has to offer. Not to mention a great local coffee shop – Buddy Brew and many great places to dine for lunch or dinner.
And what to wear you ask?? Check out our Betty dress which comes in 12 differnet colorways… we’re sure to have your team covered. Or if the weather is threatening a bit of a chill – our Kate sweatshirt dress is the perfect choice or the layered Zoe (she looks great with a chunky sweater)…
We hope you enjoy your trip to southwest Florida, and be sure to share some of your favorite Tampa spots that you intend to enjoy before or after the big game.
Good luck to both teams!
